I found the subtle Mind practice very difficult. My mind wonders a lot and I had to focus on the breathing more than not!! I feel the loving-kindness practice is more beneficial for me. I can concentrate on loved ones, and then out towards others (in general.)
Spiritual wellness is connected to our mind and ultimately to our body. (body, mind, spirit). As we learn to still the mind and "experience" life, without trying to control our "chattering" minds, we learn to just experience our mind. We begin to realize the true gift of life and we are not in complete control, and we can then accept and "experience" the life we were given. Then our minds can let go off worry, anxiety, and stress, which helps our physical body to stay well.
Stay well all,
Becky
Hi Becky, I have to agree with you the loving kindness was a difficult exercise to do. I found my mind wondering and not being able to focus on what he was saying. I think that it all just take practice. If we keep up on it and try different methods each day, we will find one that is best for us. Do you pactice any meditations methods on your own? what do you do to relax and find calmness in your life?

Hey Becky, I only do good with these exercises when I am lone and not around people. I can focus on love ones all day but sometimes even that becomes a chore. I don't better with strangers than I do with people I know. My mind goes a mile a minute and I try to slow it down by blacking everything out. I sit in the dark and listen to the wind blowing through the trees or listen to the rain when it rains to relax my body and mind. That works for me.
