Hello All,
I found the loving kindness practice to be quite rewarding and simple to do. I found it helpful when sitting in traffic, standing in line at the bank, or entering an overcrowded supermarket. (Gotta love tourist season!) All healing practices speak of the power of the open heart (as does the bible.) Positive energy gains positive energy and then radiates positive energy!!! Possibilities!
The integral assessment was very eye opening. I discovered I need to work on my interpersonal skills, I do good at work, and then don't go anywhere else to interact. Also, I need to increase level of fitness and work toward mindful nutrient food habits.
My integral practice implementation process will start slowly with meditation in the morning (before anything else), with witnessing-mind practice and calm-abiding. I walk about 50 minutes a day, during these walks I will practice focused breathing and being present, oneness with nature and earth. I will also have a chance to practice the mini-practice of universal loving-kindness during the day at work.
We can only succeed if we first begin.
Stay Well,
Becky
HI Becky, I have been a vegetarian for almost 2 years not but, I have been a vegan for only about 6 months. This is a lifestyle that I have read many books on and I choose this due to the way the food industry treats animals and how much that the food today is bad for you. I was embarrassed at first and found it hard to stick to at family gatherings and eating out. As I have been learning more about healing and meditaiton, it has made me a much strong person and I have learned that this is who I am and it is making me much happier and healthier. Therefore, I have told myself that I dont care what others think about my lifestyle. I am a avid runner and have accomplished many things so, I must be doign something right. So, on your jouney to eating healthier and learning more about mediations, you will become strong. Just stay positive and keep postive thoughts all the time.

Hello Becky, I think that out of all the exercises that we learned about this term, they will all need to be practiced regualry in order to get the full affect down the road. Some of the exercises may be easier for some of us to do than others. I myself liked the visualization and the meditation. It seems that most of us will continue to do atleast one of these exercises on a regular basis. I wish you the best of luck.
